About Melle de Boer
Melle de Boer is a singer, songwriter, graphic artist and musician based in the The Hague area, The Netherlands. He is best known as the frontman of Dutch 'country noir' quartet, Smutfish, but also performs and records under his own name. De Boer's early Smutfish albums (2004's Lawnmower Mind and 2006's Through A Slightly Open Door, plus a 2004 EP called The Fish That Couldn't Swim) were universally praised by the music press in The Netherlands and compared to the works of Sparklehorse, Neil Young, Johnny Dowd and The Hague's Hallo Venray.
