Melchor Cabello Luque (Montemayor, Córdoba, early November 1588 - Guadalupe, Cáceres, February 1, 1678), Spanish religious and composer. Son of Alonso Cabello and María Luque, Melchor was baptized on November 14, 1588, accompanied by his godparents, the rector Andrés de Hinestrosa and Bernarda, his niece. From 1613 to 1615 he served as a chapel master of the cathedral of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. He received the habit of monk from the monastery of Guadalupe in 1616, when he was twenty-eight years old.
