About Melanoid
Melanoid is the solo project of Los Angeles based singer/songwriter John Hanson. He began playing guitar at age 12, and has continued to hone his performing and songwriting skills over the last 14 years. In John’s songwriting style, the music often comes first, supported by lyrics drawn from life experiences. He composes on the guitar and piano, inspired by classical music, the Beatles and other 60’s era artists, as well as bands like Radiohead and Pink Floyd.
