About Mehrdad Karim Khavari
Mehrdad Karim Khavari is an Iranian daf player. Hew was born in the town of Sanandaj in 1968 and started to play the daf in Kurdestan's Khaneghahs (houses of dervishes) when he was eight years old. As he never had a teacher, he continued to use the same techniques as those performed in the Khaneghahs. Later, he developed a new style of daf playing.
