Medolic is the conception of New Zealand born, Brisbane claimed, artist and songwriter Lix Bacskay (pronounced batch-koy). Tired and uninspired by the righteous removed from the real, Lix draws lyrical pictures incomparable yet not dissimilar to great narrative artists such as Springsteen, Presley, Cash and Mitchell. Influenced by poetic liberators like Buckley, Yorn, Fanning and G. A. Richards, she crafts a-typical stories of her own human-ness with their feet in the everyday and their eyes on an ever changing horizon.
