About Me Jane
Me Jane began serendipitously when the band’s three founding members met at a 2011 house party in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood. Marites Velasquez had just moved to the city from Arizona, bringing along her bass and the urge to start a new band. Mutual friends introduced Marites to guitarist KaJe Gallegos and drummer Sarah Braunstein, and aMer several months of dilly-dallying, the trio recorded their first demo in July 2012 at CarterCo Recording.
