About Maxi Dunn
Maxi started writing songs at the age of fourteen and joined her first band at the age of eighteen in 1990. First band Mahalia 1990 - 1993, were taken under the wing of Ruby Blues Manager, Dave Kitson with a hopeful release on his record label Red Flame. This never happened. Band parted company in the summer of 1993. STEAL -1993-1995 Maxine joined her next band after having a six month break after hearing "Whatever" by Aimee Mann. Steal were alot more rock oriented than Mahalia who had been quite poppy! Influences.
