Historically, it goes like this: Once there was a rock band in the town of Muncie, IN that consisted of 5 people. When that rock band broke up, one of the members (Justin Clark) felt a little confused and sad. He felt like he was still in the music making mode and refused to stop, regardless of the current status of his bandmate roomates. Thus, Material Culture was born. It started with a 5 song EP called Radio Music. This was basically a collection of old ideas for music and lyrics, all assembled together on a laptop.
