Mateo Calvete, also like Mateo Calvet and Matheu Calbet, (Sariñena?, c. 1596 -? ; fl. 1611-1637) was a Spanish composer and chapel master. Mateo Calvete had to occupy the mastery of the Cathedral of Tarazona intermittently between 1611 and 1616, since he is mentioned as a chapel master of the Cathedral of Lleida during those years:2 on October 2, 1614, Juan Arañés was appointed master of chapel of Lleida in place of "Matheu Calbet" [Mateo Calvete].
