About Marwick and Mackintosh
Is the performing name for trad musicians Hugh Marwick and Stuart Mackintosh. In the summer of 2010, they recorded their debut album, The Grit That Makes The Pearl, in the West coast of Scotland. The album features a wide variety of tunes written by both Hugh (on whistles) and Stuart (on accordian) along with some older, traditional pieces. There are also collaborations with the fantastic Gaelic singer, Eilidh Mackenzie. Fiddle is provided by Gavin Marwick (Bellevue Rendezvous) with Shaun Cousins on drums and Ewan Hemingway on piano.
