About Martin Proffitt
Martin Proffitt was born in Preston, Lancashire, England in 1978. Raised as a Christian, Martin sang in the church choir of St Andrews parish church where he learned music under the guidance of Micheal Sands who was the organist and choir master there at the time. In 1999 Martin moved to Huddersfield to study music at Huddersfield Technical College where he wrote "The Gate Cycle", a symphony for full orchestra (never performed) between 2000 and 2001.
