Born in Amsterdam, The Netherlands at the 4th of march 1986, Martijn Duiven is a composer of avant-garde pop/folk songs and an art school student at the Utrecht School of the Arts. Whilst his early works resemble a young Jacques Brel fused with hints of Red Hot Chili Peppers and the George Baker Selection, his latter works are tender, loving poppy tape-based folk songs full of time manipulation and granular synthesis in the vein of the most delicate work of Nick Drake, Animal Collective, Grizzley Bear and The Microphones.
