
Mari Hamada (浜田麻里 born July 18, 1962 in Tokyo, Japan) is a Japanese female rock singer, songwriter and producer. Mari started her own professional singing career in 1983. She characterized the heavy metal idol. Her records were smash hit in the Japanese rock market. Later, some changing her own musical style, more popularized sounds like Heart and Journey etc. Her market was more expanded. In 1989, she hit No.1 on the music charts for the first time, and was performed at the Budokan hall two days successfully in the same year.
