About Margriet Eshuijs
After the demise of Dutch AOR band Lucifer (1972-1978), best known for their Dutch hit 'House For Sale' (#4 in the Dutch Top 40 in 1975), singer Margriet Eshuijs (born Zaandam, Netherlands, 14 October 1952) embarked on a solo career under her own name. She released her 1979 début solo LP (and the five singles taken from it) simply as Margriet Eshuijs. Between 1981 and 1991 she released two albums under the moniker Margriet Eshuijs Band, to do more justice to her 'band sound' and the musicians who backed her.
