Mara and the Pillows was born in August 2010, in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The debut album, Strawberry Hermitage, was released in Jan. '12. The sound consists mainly out of vocals, vocal instruments, samples/field recordings, instruments made out of household equipment plus a guitar and a clarinet.
