About Manouchehr Sahbai
Manuchehr Sahbai; conductor, Ph. D. in Arts and music and solo oboist, was born in Tehran. After primary school he studied oboe at the Tehran Conservatory of Music under Anton Kadletz, composition under Hossein Nassehi and piano under Shafighe Sedghi. Graduated from the Conservatory, at the age of 18 he was engaged as a solo oboist in Tehran Symphony Orchestra. In his last years of residence in Iran, he was professor at the Conservatory of Music, University of Fine Arts and School of Iranian Broadcasting Corporation.
