About Malachias Siebenhaar
Malachias Siebenhaar (March 6, 1616 in Kreibitz , Bohemia – January 6, 1685 in Magdeburg) was a German composer of Bohemian origin. Siebenhaar studied at the University of Wittenberg between 1637 and 1641 . There he became friends with Philipp von Zesen , with whom he later worked artistically on many occasions. After completing his studies, Siebenhaar briefly worked as a cantor in Tangermünde . Between 1644 and 1651 Siebenhaar held a position as director of music and cantor at the city school in Magdeburg .
