
Madrigirls is a female chamber choir, based at the University of Glasgow and directed by Katy Lavinia Cooper and Catriona Hutchinson. The names "University of Glasgow Madrigirls", "Glasgow University Madrigirls" and "Glasgow Madrigirls" are or have also been used, plus optional "the" before each or any of these. (Not to be confused with a London-based trio calling themselves "The Madrigirls".) Formed in the year 2000, originally to sing early music, Madrigirls number between 20 and 25 singers and have a large repertoire.
