Madison East was a six-piece band from Cleveland, Ohio, formed in 2003 that officially laid down their mathematically leaning, indie-bent progressive rock ways and disbanded in 2009. As a group they pushed the limits of music in a stagnant scene and developed a unique sound that, if forced to be categorized, could be placed somewhere between the worlds of progressive and indie rock. While drawing comparisons to bands such as Thursday, The Mars Volta, and Further Seems Forever it can’t be said that they sounded quite like anyone else.
