Ludwig Wenzel Lachnith (1746–1820) was a Prague-born composer, horn player, and musical arranger who built his career in France and became a conspicuous figure in Parisian theatrical life around the turn of the nineteenth century. He entered professional service in the German court milieu of Zweibrücken before establishing himself in Paris, where he worked both as an instrumentalist and as a prolific composer of orchestral and chamber music in the late Classical style.
