LUCY MICHELLE AND THE VELVET LAPELLES are now FIELD TRIP Lucy Michelle and the Velvet Lapelles formed in 2007 in Twin Cities, MN. Lucy received an ukelele as a gift so she started writing songs and decided to form the band. According to their Twitter: "Combine a dash of equal parts; old-time, mountain, bluegrass, gypsy, rag, polka. folk., punk, pop, with the whistle of Andrew Bird." They were Geoff Freeman (drums), Ashley Boman (accordion), Chris Graham (guitar)
