About Lubomir Matl
Conductor Lubomír Mátl was born 6th March 1941 in Brno. After organ and piano studies at the Brno conservatoire he studied choir conducting at the Janacek Academy of Music in Brno where he graduated in 1968. Soon after that he achieved excelent results with the Brno Academic Choir both at home and in many European countries (Italy, Germany, Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Britain) and the U.S.A. From 1979 to 1981 he worked in Bratislava conducting the mixed choir at the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra.
