About Love Gone Mad
Love Gone Mad was formed in 1989 by Troy Philis, Andy Rigali, Tom Merrill and Wayde Carroll. The band garnered a large following, college airplay and positive press as they played various venues in the SOFA (south of first street) area of San Jose for the next three years. In addition to being a talented vocalist, singer Tom Merrill was also an accomplished trombonist, although he did not play the instrument in the band. Tom also penned many of Love Gone Mad's songs.
