A Stax artist who seems to have fallen through the cracks of music history, not many details are known about Lou Bond. His only album (released under the Stax imprint) is full of atmosphere with backings akin to Isaac Hayes. It's considered to be a rare and underrated late Stax production. The cover blurb on Lou Bond's eponymous 1974 album reads "Lou Bond is not to be categorized he is like no other artist in the business. Past or present." Truer words have seldom, if ever, appeared on an album cover.
