
Lori Lieberman best known for "Killing Me Softly", has recorded over a dozen LPs/CDs from Capitol Records to Independent labels. Raised in Switzerland, she moved to Los Angeles where she began her recording career and toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe. Starting in 1972, she released a series of albums on Capitol. Her debut album included the first recording of "Killing Me Softly," composed by Gimbel and Fox based on a poem written by Lori about the impact a Don Maclean performance had on her.
