
Lorenzo Fago (Naples, 13 August 1704 - Naples , 30 April 1793) was an Italian composer, organist and teacher, eldest son of Francesco Nicola Fago, also a composer and music teacher. Although he was born in Naples to Nicola and Caterina Speranza Grimaldi, he was nicknamed as his father Il Tarantino. After studying at the Conservatory of the Pietà dei Turchini, where his father taught, he became organist of the Chapel of the Treasure of the Cathedral of Naples.
