born on san antonio's westside barrio liza ybarra 1st showed promise as an actress, dancer, & vocalista and was the only person chosen for BOTH selena broadway productions circa upon returning home after the 911 tragedy she uleashed her greatest talent to date as both a music composer and lyricists. 10 of the 11 original tracks on her debut album "anoche sone" were virtually single-handedly composed by liza drawing on 3 female latina icons of three genres: rocio durcal (mariachi), celia cruz (salsa), and of course selena (tejano & cumbias).
