
Liu Zhifang (fl. late 13th C.) was from Tiantai, Zhejiang. He inherited the qin learning of Guo Chuwang, [and himself] created such qin pieces as Wangji Qu (Without-Schemes Tune) and Wujiang Yin (Wu River Intonation). Among these, Wangji Qu developed into the very widespread Ming and Qing qin tune Oulu Wangji (Seagulls Without Schemes).
