About Lilyer
The artist behind Lilyer is Marte Solbakken, a Norwegian musician living in LA. She’s been a member and songwriter for American indie heroes WATERS, and for a while she fronted the San Francisco band Elskling. All this time she was working with what would become Lilyer. In a minibus on tour in the US, at home in a communal holiday site in Oslo, in an attic in Kragerø, and on a hilltop high above San Francisco – that’s where the first Lilyer songs were written. A musical quest for at foothold in a rootless existence.
