The late Douglas JP Lee (1953 - 2011) was an ambient artist who created lush symphonic ambient music as Lily Pond Orchestra. He was born in Andover, Massachusetts, USA, and lived there for most of his life. Douglas was a self-taught musician, composer and technician with an undying love for all things New England. He became aware of electronic music at a very early age after seeing the classic science fiction movie Forbidden Planet. Douglas played lead guitar in a plethora of bands throughout the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and early 90’s.
