Liberale Zanchi (1570 Treviso - after 1621) was a Composer, Organist, Kapellmeister. Nothing more is known about his training (probably in Treviso). In 1595 his first madrigal print came out in Venice . In 1595/96 he was Kapellmeister and organist for the Salzburg Prince Archbishop Wolf Dietrich von Raitenau. After that he was the chamber organist of K. Rudolph II in Prague until 1612 . The imperial court still owed him money in 1621. In addition to Venetian influences, those of J. Gallus on Z's polychoral writing can also be assumed.
