About Letter From The Crypt
Letter from the Crypt was formed in 2008 by Sami Luomala under the name Ritual Forest in Uusikaupunki, Finland. Back then the main genre was black metal and the music was highly influenced by acts like Burzum and Satanic Warmaster. Later that year Luomala decided to change the bands genre into funeral doom and the name was also changed to it's current form. The band has released one self-titled album in the year 2009. It contains eight songs which are mostly funeral doom-like, although there are few ambient and drone elements too.
