About Leon Stekke
Leon Stekke was a Belgian composer, professor of music theory and harmony, born in 1904 in Soignies and died in 1970 in Ixelles (Brussels). He was Director of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. Biography He was born in Soignies October 12, 1904. He had, among others, Pierre Bartholomew as pupil, who said of him: "As a teacher of harmony, he proved radiant inspiration, undogmatic, working from work rather than from the scholar rules". Leon Stekke died January 24, 1970 in Ixelles (Brussels).
