About Leila Albayaty
Leila Albayaty is a singer, composer, film and video director, actress, sound designer, painter and DJ. Half Iraqi, she was born in France. After studying music - the violin - and architecture in France, Leila Albayaty started at the IAD (Institut des Arts de Diffusion) Film School in Brussels. She left film school after some months to direct a documentary, “Vacances” (Holidays), a video log of a hitchhiking journey through southern Europe, a trailer without the car.
