Laura Nadine Hickson was born on Feburary 28, 1977 at DeKalb General Hospital in Decatur, Georgia. She was raised in Lilburn, Georgia by Diana Grandinetti Hickson and John R. Hickson, Jr. She was the youngest of four siblings, two sisters named Lisa and Rain and a brother named John, with a span of 17 years in age from the first born to the last. Her mother was a stay at home mom and her father was a successful CEO of his own corporation. At age 3, Laura began to show an interest in the violin.
