About Laris Mclennon
Singer Laris McLennon recorded a lone single produced by Roy Lee Walker, coupling two raw bluesy soul dancers with sax and organ, 'Confusion' and 'Turnin' Loose', released on the independent CBM label in March 1967. The songs (later re-issued on Ember) also appeared on the Ember label LP, 'In Reggae Time' (1970), alongside the mid-tempo R&B of 'Try Me' and an alternate version of 'Confusion', entitled 'Baby That's Love'. The album's title is misleading as the music on it is soul and ska.
