About Lamo
Lamo are a brother-sister two-piece band formed in Stoke-on-Trent around 2006, inspired by the intensity of the two-piece Lightning Bolt, and influenced by the dirgy sounds of Kyuss and The Jesus Lizard. Ais is the guitarist and lead vocalist. She uses an octave pedal through both a guitar amp and bass amp to produce a full, heavy sound with bone-shaking bass tones. Col, does second vocals. Primarily a punk drummer, he incorporates elements of doom metal, jazz, dub and disco into his beats, but deals with adrenaline rather than technicality.
