
La Tuza are a Mexican roots band in New England (Boston MA, USA) making traditional Mexican music in the African-influenced style of Son Jarocho from Veracruz region. As well as the swinging son calentano of the Mexican Tierra Caliente region (Hotlands) and the fiery son huasteco of central Mexico. The three are: David Wax (jaranas/guitar), Ana Lisa Portillo (violin) and Brian O’Neill (percussion).
