Growing up in Queens, New York, Kool Sphere was exposed to hip-hops cream of the crop including; Run DMC, Nas, and most important, Kool G Rap. Kool Sphere immersed himself in all elements of the hip-hop culture from break dancing to graffiti. Kool studied the art form by listening closely to artists he respected like; Gangstarr, DJ Premier, AZ, Nas and Kool G Rap. He developed his own signature style while incorporating the respect persona these artists portrayed and eventually mastered his craft as a hip-hop artist.
