Kirche Gothika started out as an instrumental Industrial / Dance experiment, founded by John Weekley. It was a side-project to Verschlüsseltes Paradoxon (now known as Tenebrae Aeternus). Kirche Gothika has gone through several changes with its style of music, starting out as instrumental Techno and Industrial later bringing in EBM and Progressive elements. Lyrics started being added to the music, giving it a darker and heavier tone based off of Christian scriptures. In a sense, Kirche Gothika is a Christian Industrial project.
