
Kim Tae-seop (Seoul, Dec. 21, 1922 - Seoul 1993) was a player of traditional Korean wind instruments such as the piri (bamboo oboe), taepyeongso (conical wooden oboe) and saenghwang (mouth organ). After finishing primary school at 14, he entered the Yi Dynasty Royal Conservatory of Music in 1936, where his musical career began with his study of the piri.
