
American tenor Kim Scown was born on May 13, 1951 in Garberville, California. He studied Voice/Opera and Vocal Pedagogy at the New England Conservatory. He was a Fellow at Tanglewood, and studied Voice there from 1975 to 1977. Kim Scown has worked as classical singer and teacher in New York. He has appeared in opera houses worldwide. In April 1976 he sang the role of Reverend Rowlandson in Paul Earls’ opera The Death of King Philip with the New England Chamber Opera Group Philip Morehead at All Saints Church, Brookline.
