Hailing from the heartland, Urbandale, Iowa singer-songwriter Kevin Brocker has come a long way from his Room 101 college cover band roots. Now fronting the local, Des Moines band, Six Ways to Sunday, Brocker writes his own soundtrack for middle aged, suburban anomie, laced with a message of hope. Influenced by other Midwestern artists such as The Replacements from Minneapolis, Matthew Sweet from Lincoln, Nebraska and Wilco from Chicago, Brocker's songs reflect a stylish mixture of alternative rock rebellion, catchy pop and alt-country twang.
