Composer and performer of the themes from 'the Tripods' and 'Casualty', Ken Freeman started out as keyboard player in late 60s Opportunity Knocks winners Second City Sound. Frustrated by the limitations of the available technology, he pioneered the world's first string synthesizer keyboards, leading to lucrative session work throughout the 70s, working with artists including Mike Oldfield, Roger Daltrey, David Essex and Jon Anderson, and on Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds. He also worked with 'Bergerac' composer George Fenton.
