About Keiko Fujiie
Keiko Fujiie (born 1963) is a Japanese composer born in Kyoto, Japan. She is the daughter of a professor of mathematics in the University of Kyoto and completed postgraduate studies at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. Fujiie won the Otaka Prize in 1995 and in 2000 for best symphonic piece of the year. She is married to the classical guitarist Kazuhito Yamashita.
