About Katagory V
Katagory V is a progressive metal band from Salt Lake City, Utah. They formed in 1999 when Dustin Mitchell (bass) and Curtis Morrell (guitar) met at a local metal show. They decided to turn their similar musical influences into a metal project. After getting a full line-up together, the band recorded their debut album "Present Day" and released it in 2001. The album was a success and gained the band a lot of recognition and attention, especially in Europe, where is would go on to gain cult status.
