
Karen Surenovich Khachaturian (born September 19, 1920, Moscow) is an Armenian composer and a nephew of Aram Khachaturian. He adopts a primarily tonal approach to composition. His works have been recorded by some of the greatest artists of the 20th century, including David Oistrakh, Jascha Heifetz, Mstislav Rostropovitch, and Vladimir Yampolski.
