The band had its beginnings in spring of 2010 when guitarists Jim Kalwara and Patrick Clarke began writing songs with vocalist/bassist Scott Ferguson. Synth player Jenna Beasley and drummer Jon Anderson joined the lineup in the following months, and the group had its live debut in October of that year. Kam Kama played several shows both locally and regionally into the winter and spring
