Jung Latch is the artistic alias of Rupert Galea, an East London-based audiovisual artist, composer, and sound designer. Born into a Maltese-Irish family, Galea’s early years were characterized by a rigorous classical music education, during which he gained proficiency in instruments ranging from the piano and saxophone to the violin and drums. His transition into the electronic sphere was catalyzed by a fascination with his father's collection of synthesizer music—notably artists such as Kraftwerk
