
Julius Schmidt was born in 1975 in the Chicago area and began playing piano at age 3. He has also played violin and clarinet both as a soloist and in ensembles. He studied under Florence Kirsch in the more “modern” style that is taught today, but has since restructured his technique to create a totally different sound more encompassing of the depth and emotion capable of the piano than is currently taught. His current style of playing has been described as unique
